The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Well, it was just one of those weekends I guess.

I was very productive Saturday morning, got a lot of errands done (good). Spend $200 getting fluids changed in the truck (ugly!), but the truck was very happy afterwards (good). Came home and saw that one of our neighbours had started building a fence without asking for our input (BAD!). Talked with the other neighbour who had no real fence plans yet, but works for a lumber company so we can get cheap wood (good!). Weeded and put bark chips around the tree(looks really good). Got really muddy shoes and tracked mud everywhere (bad). Spent 2.5 hours waxing the truck. It looked beautiful (good). Wax created a static field and all the construction dust in our neighbourhood adhered to the truck in nice circular patterns (BAD!)

Sunday I was really sore from the (almost) pointless waxing, so I spend most of the day reading my book (Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier) and finished it.

So yes, it was a good weekend and it was a bad weekend. I think in the end though, I came out on top. I'm looking forward to the long weekend though. It will be nice to have an extra day off again.
